The IDEO Food Future Colab was a project funded by Target to create new brands, products, and experiences around food.
Pickl is an intelligent, trusted advisor for food decisions. It adds data to food experiences that were previously not possible . Pickl allows us to strike a balance between understanding (food) and trust (technology). Using truthful datasets about food and augmented reality to shape new experiences, the nutrition label will fall away over far more personalized information.
I worked on the original team to create the first prototype. Our clients loved it.
I built an Augmented Reality shopping cart prototype in a day with a projector and translucent sheeting to demonstrate the heads up display. The screen showed how you could interact with the shopping experience in the store.
Product Design
We took the original shopping cart vision and created a functional prototype app for market testing and validation.
Product Design
From there we were tasked with creating a showpiece exchbit for IDEO’s Blueprint conference and The South by South Lawn (SXSL) tech show at the White House.
We designed an experiential AR demo using the Microsoft Hololens to convey the full potential of this service.
