Embr Wave Comfort Case
Embr Labs
I designed, engineered, and brought the Embr Wave Comfort Case to production — owning the full lifecycle from concept through manufacturing, including packaging design. The case protects the Embr Wave 2 wearable thermostat from daily wear while improving cooling performance by up to 10%.
Design & Engineering
The snap-on/snap-off mechanism was engineered for tool-free installation without impacting charging or button access. Material selection was critical — the case uses medical-grade TPE rubber bonded to a polycarbonate shell, balancing flexibility for snap-fit assembly with rigidity for impact protection.
Prototyping & Development
The design evolved through multiple prototyping stages — from 3D-printed SLS concepts to silicone mold castings to injection-molded production parts. Each iteration refined the snap-fit geometry, wall thickness, and ergonomic profile.

Manufacturing & Packaging
I managed the full manufacturing process from tooling through production, including designing the retail packaging. The two-material construction required precise overmolding tolerances to ensure consistent snap-fit performance across production runs. Available in Rose and Slate colorways.
